The Person Keeps Rescheduling

The Person Keeps Rescheduling

I recently had a model ask me advice on how to deal with a photographer who keeps rescheduling her photo shoot.

Busy Professionals

Understand that photographers, modeling agencies, managers, clothing designers etc. all have a lot on their plates and there will be times that we have to reschedule meetings, shoots, fittings or whatever the situation or task may be.

Example, The Photographer

But there are times when it gets to be questionable if your appointment or shoot is rescheduled multiple times (like 2 or more) this is when you will have to ask yourself if this is a person who you want to be involved with, and at this point if I were you I would research them some more and also if you do decide to deal with them and money is involved ask them if they will take payment after your photos are edited and delivered, and the reason why you ask this, is because if their actions show that they don’t get back to you in a timely manner or can’t keep appointments, then this indicates that they may have a lot going on and that they may be the same way when it comes to delivering your photos, they may drag their feet or come up with excuses like- I was busy, I wasn’t feeling well, I was dealing with family things or I had this big project to finish and so on, but if you make an agreement to pay for your photo’s at the time of delivery (after editing) then the only thing you lose if the photographer never delivers your photos, is time and not the money you paid up front.

  2. It's always best to keep it professorial.
when an appointment is constantly being rescheduled, it doesn't make the person look very professional.

  3. I've experienced this a few times with photographers and luckily there was no money involved. The sad part however, is that there was no money involved! Experiencing this level of unprofessionalism from people who weren't even trying to pay let me know that these were people I should've never worked with in the first place.
